Terms and conditions

SQUADBALL TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF ENTRY

1. General Information

1.1 SquadBall (the “Event”) is not a race or a competition.
1.2 You must not compete with other participants, place bets, or drive recklessly. You must always comply with road laws and behave with courtesy toward others. Reckless driving or breach of laws may result in immediate removal from the Event.
1.3 Selecting “I agree to the Terms & Conditions” means you fully accept these Terms. If you have questions, contact the Organizer before signing up.

2. Age

Participants and all drivers must be 18+ on the first day of the Event and hold a full driver’s license.

3. License and Passport

You must hold a valid driver’s license, passport, and required visas for all countries visited. Ensuring correct documentation is your responsibility.

4. Insurance

4.1 You must obtain appropriate insurance for participation.
4.2 You must verify with your insurer that you are covered.
4.3 Proof of insurance may be required at registration and must be carried during the event.

5. Entry Fee

5.1 Entry Fee payment is required for participation.
5.2 You must pay the Entry Fee and any additional fees, including for co-drivers. Unauthorized participants will be removed and charged.
5.3 Participation is confirmed only after full payment is received. Unconfirmed places may be resold.
5.4 The deposit is at least 50% of the total (or the full amount if preferred).

6. Refunds & Cancellation

6.1 Withdrawal must be communicated via email.
6.2 A 14-day cancellation period applies from registration, with full reimbursement.
6.3 After 14 days, no refund is possible.
6.4 The Organizer may amend the route/dates without refund.
6.5 Deposits are non-refundable after the statutory 14-day period.

7. Transfer of Entry

7.1 Entry Fees cannot be transferred to future events.
7.2 You may transfer your place to another individual with Organizer approval, at least 1 month before the Event.

8. Unauthorized Participants

8.1–8.5 Anyone not officially registered (driver/co-driver) is considered unauthorized and will be removed and charged. Participation includes attending checkpoints, dinners, hotels, briefings, parties, or being in participating vehicles.

9. Personal Acquisitions

Entry Fee does not include fuel, phone bills, hotel extras, fines, or personal expenses.

10. Support Cars

Support cars require full entry fees and must be notified at least 1 month before the Event. They are not branded with Event logos unless approved.

11. Hotel Rooms

One room per car is included. Twin or king rooms. Additional rooms may be purchased.

12. Compliance

Participants must comply with all applicable laws, speed limits, alcohol/drug laws, and vehicle requirements. Breaches may result in removal without refund.

13. Responsibility

The Organizer is not responsible for border entry refusals, vehicle damage, or denied access due to lack of legal compliance. Documents must be valid and accurate.

14. Conduct

Participants must behave appropriately. Hotels may charge for damages or incidentals.

15. Intoxicating Substances

No alcohol while driving. No driving under the influence. Breathalyzer checks may be routine.

16. Safety

Do not drive when ill, fatigued, or otherwise impaired.

17. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify the Organizer for claims arising from your actions or breaches.

18. Force Majeure

The Organizer is not accountable for cancellations or delays caused by events beyond its control, including natural disasters, law enforcement actions, or serious incidents.

19. Logos

You must display the official sticker pack for the entire Event. Stickers must not be altered.

20. Personal Sponsorship

Personal sponsors require written Organizer approval 30 days before the Event. They must not conflict with official sponsors.

21. Unauthorized Sponsorship

Unauthorized branding must be removed at your cost or you may be refused participation.

22. Copying the Event

You must not organize or fund a similar event copying SquadBall. Breach will result in legal action.

23. Violation of Terms

Breaking the terms or failing to follow instructions may lead to removal without refund.

24. Refusal

The Organizer may refuse entry or participation at any time.

25. Image Rights

By joining, you consent to being photographed/filmed and grant the Organizer full rights to use your image, name, and footage globally and indefinitely.

26. Personal Filming

You may film/photograph for personal non-commercial use only. Accident footage is strictly forbidden.

27. Media Appearances

Press statements require prior written approval. Cooperation with Organizer media requirements is mandatory.

28. Changes to Terms

Terms may be updated at any time. Participants must check for updates. Continued participation means acceptance.

29. Entire Agreement

These Terms, the Waiver, and the Entry Form constitute the full agreement.

30. Confidentiality

Incidents during the Event must remain confidential.

 

WAIVER Release and Waiver of Responsibility

1. Risks Associated with Participation

I acknowledge and accept that participating in an event such as SquadBall (the “Event”) is potentially dangerous and involves numerous risks. These risks include, but are not limited to:

  • Traffic accidents
  • Collisions with pedestrians, vehicles, other drivers, and/or fixed or moving objects
  • Negligence of other drivers or participants

I fully understand and accept that participation in the Event may result in serious bodily injury and/or death to myself or others.

I understand that the Event route may involve driving on public roadways where hazards are expected. I further acknowledge that participation will require strenuous physical exertion, including driving for extended periods over several days and possibly through inclement weather.

2. Assumption of the Risks

With full knowledge and understanding of the risks associated with my participation, I voluntarily enter the Event and fully accept and assume all risks of loss, damage, personal injury, or death.

3. Compliance with Terms and Conditions

I agree to comply with all the Event’s terms and conditions of entry.

I understand that the Organizer will use reasonable efforts to ensure that all participants follow the terms and conditions, but cannot guarantee that everyone will comply.

4. Release of Liability

In consideration for being permitted to participate in the Event, I waive, release, and forever discharge, for myself and on behalf of my heirs, executors, administrators, and legal representatives, any and all rights or claims I have or may have against:

  • The Organizer
  • Its officers
  • Directors
  • Employees
  • Consultants
  • Agents
  • Event sponsors

This includes any damages, personal injuries (including death), and/or claims arising directly or indirectly from my participation in the Event, including:

  • The application of emergency or medical services
  • Transportation of my vehicle by air arranged by the Organizer

This applies even if such damages or injuries are caused by negligence of the parties listed above.

Exception: This waiver does not limit or exclude liability for personal injury or death resulting from the Organizer’s negligence or negligence of persons under its control.

I further covenant not to sue any of the parties listed above for any such damages, injuries, or claims.

This release includes, but is not limited to, claims of:

  • Personal injury
  • Death
  • Property damage
  • Economic loss
  • Breach of contract
  • Lost wages
  • Contribution or indemnity
  • Punitive damages
  • Negligence
  • Any other legally recognizable claim

This includes all legal costs associated with such claims.

5. Indemnity

I agree to release, defend, indemnify, and hold harmless the Organizer and all related parties (officers, directors, employees, consultants, agents, sponsors, licensees, and assigns) from any and all:

  • Claims
  • Demands
  • Damages
  • Suits
  • Liabilities
  • Actions

These include any claims arising directly or indirectly from my actions or my participation in the Event, whether made during or after the Event. This also includes all related costs, expenses, and any settlement amounts paid by the Organizer.

Final Acknowledgment

I confirm that I have read this waiver, fully understand its terms, and understand that I am giving up substantial legal rights by signing it. I do so freely and without any inducement, coercion, or duress.

I intend this waiver to be a complete and unconditional release of all liability, to the greatest extent permitted by law.

If any provision of this waiver is found to be invalid, the remaining sections shall continue in full force and effect.

By completing the entry form and accepting these terms and conditions, I enter into a legally binding agreement with the Organizer to participate under these terms.

By signing up for the Event, you confirm that:

  • You have read and fully understand the Terms and Conditions contained in this Agreement.
  • You agree to comply with all Terms and Conditions.
  • You have read, fully understand, and accept the terms of the Waiver.
  • You acknowledge and accept that you have had the opportunity to seek independent legal advice before signing this Agreement.
